Tour d'Elegance public display is FREE and open to the public

Praised by car aficionados as one of the best shows in New England, the Misselwood Concours d’Elegance is a boutique car show that also serves as a fundraiser for scholarships at Endicott College. The show attracts car owners and crowds from across New England and has become the prime classic car event of the summer. Part of the Concours d'Elegance weekend includes the Tour d'Elegance on Saturday, a tour of the most elegant cars in existence today that winds along the Coastal Scenic Byway from Beverly to Newburyport and back.

 

Hula Hoops are healthy and fun! Come find out for yourself at Sawyer Free Librar

Kids will learn all about Hula Hooping at Sawyer Free Library. Pinto Bella Hula Hoops will have a live demonstration where kids will learn the history of hula hoops, the benefits of the activity and how to do it properly! Kids will then have a chance to try for themselves, and then join iun on organized games and use teamwork to see how fun and energizing Hula Hooping can be! For kids in grades K-5!

 

Take a guided kayak paddle to Choate Island with the Trustees of Reservations!

Join us for an afternoon kayak paddle, followed by a leisurely walking tour of Choate Island. We’ll stop in to view the Proctor Barn and the Choate House, then continue on to the highest point on the island where Cornelius and Miné Crane are buried. After taking in the breathtaking views of the marsh and Essex Bay, we’ll make our way back to the Proctor Barn for a delicious picnic supper catered by Ferreira Foods.

 

The Annual Firefighters Roadrace has a kids <16 category and prizes.

Come try to defeat Lynn Fire as they defend their claim to the Firefighters Perpetual Team Trophy for the 2nd Year in a row! Run to benefit the Hamilton Fire Department Relief Association which is a non-profit organization set up to help firefighters and their families in times of tragedy or distress.

 

Hikin' Kids is designed to acclimate kids to the forest environment!

This program is for pre-K level. This is a basic introduction to the forest and a short hike to acclimate children to the outdoors. Recommend bringing water, insect repellent, sun screen, binoculars and camera.

Boston Ballet School Northshore Studio at Van Otterloo YMCA

Boston Ballet School North Shore Studios invites you to an Open House on Thursday, July 24, from 1-3 p.m. See the BBS state-of-the-art studios located in the Lynch/van Otterloo YMCA and learn about the many programs for children and adults.

 

This "kids" only race has all the bells and whistles of a full scale adult road race with t-shirts, post race refreshments and more! Participants can run in the 1/2 mile, 1 mile, or both! Trophy to top male and female finishers; medals to top three in each age group, ribbons to all finishers. Age groups are broken up into the following order: 6-8, 9-11, and 12-14. This program is a collaboration between Marblehead Recreation and Parks and The Wicked Running Club. RaceAll registrations must take place at Marblehead Recreation and Parks.

 

Marblehead Recreation's Movie at Seaside Park will feature Disney's Frozen!

The whole community is invited to Marblehead Recreation Department's Summer Movies @ Seaside Park! Bring the entire family and enjoy a night under the stars while watching your favorite movie stars on the big screen. There will also be some really fun treats for the kids, carival type games, and prizes! All movies will either by rated G or Rated PG-13. On July 24th, the movie will be none other than FROZEN! The movie will begin at approximately 8:30 PM.

The Coast Guard Station in Newburyport stands as a testament to over 100 years of service to the opening of the Merrimack River and the coastal regions from the North Shore to Portsmouth, NH. All are invited for a special tour of the facility and get a close-up look at the inner workings of this very busy station.

The YWCA Greater Newburyport and Newburyport Development invite you to the 3rd performance of the 2nd Annual YWCA Greater Newburyport Summer Fun Series, featuring an interactive live touch tank experience with Joppa Alive, a program by Joppa Flats Education Center. Kids will love the chance to touch indigenous creature fresh from the Gulf of Maine as they learn about their habitats, diets and survival skills! This is a great farmers' market connected to a large grassy park in downtown Beverly.  There is always music and a lot of shade.  The market offers fresh local produce as well as cheese, meat, eggs, bread, muffins, dog treats, massage, jewelry, and books.  The kids have a blast playing tag, meeting new friends, and listening to music.  The park is dog friendly, has plenty of parking and access to the commuter rail. This is a wonderful spot for an impromptu picnic!

Explore the depths as we take samples directly from Gloucester Harbor to the lab where attendees will have hands-on experiences with the lifeforms that serve as a major source of food in the sea! The festival is a greatly anticipated annual summer event in the Greater Boston area with approximately 350,000 attendees. Master sand sculptors from around the world compete in this national contest that attracts international, national and regional media coverage.
