New Year's Rockport Eve 2014

Come to Rockport for a wonderful night a family New Year's Activities!

Rockport New Year's Eve will have plenty of fun and entertainment for families starting at 6 pm and running all the way through to the count down and ball drop in Dock Square at midnight! There will be magicians, puppet shows, and even a drum parade with a green dancing dragon.  This all happens with a backdrop live performances of dance & music ranging from classical music, jazz, reggae and rock & roll! So buy your buttons, come to Rockport, and get ready for a fun evening to ring in the New Year as a family!

Middle Street Walk 2014

The lighting of the Lobster Trap Tree is part of Middle Street Walk's finale.

The 17th annual Middle Street Walk is a great way to experience Gloucester's Historic District while having fun with the family. The Festivities begin at 11 am and go all the way through to the lighting of the lobster pot tree in downtown Gloucester! Pick up a Schedule of Events and get your walk on!  A whole day of FREE activities, shows and events await for all the members of the family.

This parent/child program is designed for the creative, curious, and active preschooler. Each 90-minute session offers a structured series of activities including original songs, movement, dramatic play, hands-on science, and a thematic snack. You'll receive coloring pages, song lyrics, vocabulary, a fun fact sheet, and a suggested reading list in an electronic goody bag! In these sessions we'll explore the wonders of snow and ice!

Join the Methuen Ballet Ensemble as they tell the tale of a beautiful Mermaid who discovers a shipwrecked Prince on her enchanted island. The journey begins when a massive storm hits the sea, wrecking the Prince’s boat onto an abandoned shore. Be dazzled as the Prince discovers the beautiful Mermaid and her magical sea creature friends.
