Marblehead Festival of Arts

There's plenty to see and do for kids at the Marblehead Art Festival!

Celebrating it's 50th year in 2015, the Marblehead Festival of Arts has had a rich history in producing an annual summer arts Festival over the July 4th holiday week. This premier Festival hosts art exhibits in Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Mixed Media, Printmaking, Photography, Crafts, Plein aire Painting, Senior Art, Student Art and Youth Art. There's also a lot of great events and activities geared toward keeping kids and families engaged and entertained!

Gloucester Public School Arts Festival - a showcase of Gloucester's young talent

Join the Gloucester Education Foundation in honoring the multi-faceted pool of talent that makes up the population of the Gloucester Public Schools. Kids of all ages make beautiful and amazing art and the creators of the citywide festival seek to celebrate GPS students, their art and those helping our students live, learn and create every day. Come to Downtown Gloucester for a full day of performances and exhibitions that cover a wide range of arts, from ballroom dancing to a day long community art project that is created by participants and visitors alike.

Beverly Public Library hosts a fun Saturday morning puppet show with Mud Eye Puppets! Join Hazel and VelCrow on their adventures around the world! All puppets are made from recycled materials, so be sure and stick around after the show to meet them up close and personal!

Methuen Ballet Ensemble will interpret the classic story of Oz at the Firehouse

Methuen Ballet Ensemble will present their interpretation of 'The Wizard of Oz' at the Firehouse Center in Newburyport! Join Dorothy, Toto, and their friends as they follow the yellow brick road in search of the Emerald City. Share in the adventure as they encounter many unusual obstacles on their quest to see the great Wizard of Oz!

8th Annual Pizza Taste Off

The 8th annual pizza taste off raises funds for the American Cancer Society

The Interact Club* at Gloucester High School will be holding our 8th annual pizza taste off at Cruiseport Gloucester this year!  Come try different pizzas from restaurants and other food purveyors around Cape Ann.  Proceeds from this event will got to the American Cancer Society through the Cape Ann Relay for Life! Only 300 tickets will be sold, and are available at the door. Come vote for your favorite and stick around to see who wins the title for best pizza, best crust and best sauce!

This parent/child program is designed for the creative, curious, and active preschooler. Each 90-minute session offers a structured series of activities including original songs, movement, dramatic play, hands-on science, and a thematic snack. You'll receive coloring pages, song lyrics, vocabulary, a fun fact sheet, and a suggested reading list in an electronic goody bag!  In this session, we'll talk about how some animals use 'music' to communicate!

Lunar New Year at PEM

Celebrate Lunar New Year, aka Chinese New Year, at PEM in 2014

Join PEM as they celebrate the Lunar New Year!  2015 is the Year of the goat (or sheep) and PEM will host a day of family fun including traditional lion dances, a film set in Boston's Chinatown, sword play, traditional crafts and more! Join the festive mood in the Atrium — watch dance performances, create your own lucky lantern, hear some stories, experience traditional dance and performances, and take a family tour!
