This parent/child program is designed for the creative, curious, and active preschooler. This 90-minute session will focus on the sleep habits of animals that live around the North Shore.  A structured series of activities including original songs, movement, dramatic play, hands-on science, will be concluded with a thematic snack. You'll receive coloring pages, song lyrics, vocabulary, a fun fact sheet, and a suggested reading list in an electronic goody bag!

Holiday Sing Along

Come with friends and neighbors to sing holiday songs to start your holiday seas

Gather your family and friends and come over to the Firehouse for a little old-fashioned Holiday Sing-Along to kick off your Holidays with music!  The Youth Choir from the Immaculate Conception Church (Newburyport), directed by Donna Postle, will be there to lead everyone in singing some well-loved carols, with music provided by John Metrano on piano.  Our favorite elf, Terry Blanchard, will once again read “ ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” while wearing his famous stocking cap knit exclusively for this annual presentation by the North Pole’s very talented Mrs. Elf.

Theater in the Open invites you to bring the family to Maudslay State Park! Bring the kids, the dog, and the picnic blanket out to beautiful Maudslay State Park! The third Saturday of every month, we will be joined by many of our good friends in the community to present storytelling, song, dance, fairytale-theater and a fun group activity, all right here in the park and all entirely free! Come make a friend, sing a song, take in some sun and get to know your park better.

Beverly Public Library invites families and children to learn more about the science, art and fun of bubbles with Keith Michael Johnson. Bubbleology enchants audiences of all ages with the art and science of soap bubbles. Keith builds beautiful sculptural creations (massive & miniature) with enthusiasm, humor and style.  One moment he will be encasing a dinosaur in a bubble and in the next moment he's encapsulating an audience volunteer.
