nce again director Stephen Haley brings his ensemble technique to Theater in the Open, and Theater in the Open brings Shakespeare out into to open air and sunlight, as it was performed four centuries ago.

 A “brisk and giddy-paced” mix of love poetry and clowning, Twelfth Night offers up some of Shakespeare’s most memorable lines and remarkable characters, struggling to define and discover love in a dangerous, often ridiculous, world.

Playtime Stories offers young children the unique opportunity to experience the fun and magic of live theatre as they watch their favorite books come to life onstage. Following the performance audience members will be invited to join the Playtime Stories Company in fun and interactive workshops relating to the story.

Theater in the Open invites you to bring the kids, the dog, and the picnic blanket out to beautiful Maudslay State Park! The third Saturday of every warm month, we will be joined by many of our friends in the community to present storytelling, song, dance, fairytale-theater and a fun group activity, all right here in the park and all entirely free!

Welcome Spring back to the world with this fun and imaginative re-telling of the classic children’s tale.  Of course, we put our Theater in the Open spin on it and you never know where we’ll take it!  What if those pesky rats aren’t so pesky after all?  What’s really going on in Hamelin?  There’s a mountain in Maudslay State Park? Come and find out the answers (and more questions?) this Spring!

Ipswich Middle School presents 'Guys and Dolls'!  Come see this adaptation of the book by Joe Swerling and Abe Burrows, with the music by Frank Loesser at Ipswich Performing Arts Center. Join Nathan Detroit, host of the 'Oldest Established Permanent Floating Crap Game in New York' and a cast of characters made up of local Ipswich Middle Schoolers in a romantic musical comedy that goes from 1940s New York city to Havana a back again!
